Review: Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya

One of the first post on this blog was my Revlon lip butter collection which showcased swatches of 11 shades that I owned. This is the latest addition to my collection and it is one of the new releases by Revlon for their 2013 spring/summer collection. Presenting to you... Juicy Papaya!

If you've read my previous post on the lip butters, you will know how much I like them. Out of the 4 new shades, only Juicy Papaya caught my eye. Pink Lemonade was way too light and wouldn't show up on my lips. Sorbet and Wild Watermelon looked almost identical when swatched so I didn't think I needed both (I'd probably go with Wild Watermelon if I must choose one) plus I don't usually wear a bright red/fuchsia lip so I skipped on it.

Pigmentation of this shade is average, not as opaque as the darker shades can get but I wouldn't consider it sheer either. It comes off as a light orange when swatched and gives nice colour on my lips. Do keep in mind that my lips are slightly pigmented but this shade adds some warmth to my lips making them look very natural (basically "my lips but better" is what I'm trying to say).

The Revlon lip butters will set you back AU$21.95 here is Australia but I managed to get mine when it was 50% off. The 2013 spring/summer collection is also released in Singapore and I believe retail for SG$15.90. So there you have it, another quick post for the week. Have a great weekend.. xo!
