Review: Lime Crime Opaque Lipsticks in Airbourne Unicorn and My Beautiful Rocket

Today's review has got me quite excited because I love them so much! I have never heard of Lime Crime until I saw a couple of IMATS haul last year and have been hearing so many great things about their lip products! You can't get Lime Crime in Australia (or Singapore) but limecrime.com does offer international shipping (US$10.95 flat rate) if you're keen. I bought mine off Princess Polly because I had a $10 off code and they offer free express shipping within Australia, read more about it here.

These lipsticks retail for US$16 (or AU$23 from Princess Polly and Lipstick Republic) each and they come in a wide variety of colours! I wouldn't go out and try all of them but if you're into experimenting with different looks, I think you'll be quite pleased with the shade selection they've got. I knew I wanted to get bold colours from this line but still wearable at the same time, so I picked up My Beautiful Rocket and Airborne Unicorn.

Loving the holographic unicorn! (:

Just for reference, Airborne Unicorn is the same tone as the actual bullet packaging but slightly darker. So it isn't as blue-toned as it looks in the picture below.

My Beautiful Rocket - Bright true orange

Airborne Unicorn - Medium purple

Colour payoff on these lipsticks are incredible and they apply so creamy and smoothly. I find that they are more hydrating than most lipsticks are which is the major plus about them for me. So glad I decided to try them out because they are really good quality lipsticks and I do recommend them if you are thinking of getting them. I wouldn't say they are a must-have because they are more pricey than drugstore lipsticks, but if you love to rock blue/green/yellow lips, definitely check out Lime Crime. After trying these, I am super tempted to get a few more neutral/pinky shades (I have Babette and Geradium in mind) but I would love to hear your recommendations! (:
