Collective Haul: Lime Crime, Rimmel and Maybelline.

Hi guys, I'm back to share a quick little collective haul of some things I got within the past two weeks.

First up are the newest additions to my lipstick collection and they are from Lime Crime(say what!). I never thought I'd be able to get my hands on any Lime Crime products until I attend IMATS, which I do plan to at least once. I already knew the colours I wanted so I went ahead and ordered two of their opaque lipsticks in Airborne Unicorn and My Beautiful Rocket.
Super cute packaging!

Left to right: Airborne Unicorn, My Beautiful Rocket.

I purchased them from princesspolly.com.au and they retail for AU$21 each, which actually isn't too bad considering Lime Crime lipsticks cost US$15.99 on their website. It was still pricey for a lipstick though, so I had to think about it. However, as I was browsing the site, a pop-up appeared with a $10 off code if I register with them. I think if you're not a member, they'll offer you this code. So of course I took up the offer! Best thing is you only need to spend AU$30 to use the $10 voucher which is super awesome! Princesspolly offers free express shipping within Australia so with the voucher, my total bill only came up to AU$32.

*WARNING* Only register your email when you are ready to order because the voucher expires within 10 days and it can only be used online once per customer.

Well, I know it sounds dramatic but I thought the voucher would be good for your first purchase or something like that. And I was still contemplating about whether or not to get the lippies so when there was an expiry date to it, I stopped thinking and just went for it. Also not all the shades are always available but they do come round to stocking them so be patient(also hence the warning). One of the shades I wanted wasn't on the site initially but I was lucky that it showed up a few days later.

*UPDATE 1/10/13* I'm not sure when it started but prices for Lime Crime have been bumped up since I checked recently. The lipsticks now retail for AU$23(Lipstick Republic has also increased their prices but Beginning Boutique has kept them at AU$21).

Next are some great deals I found at the pharmacy. I was Chemist Warehouse one day and I saw the Rimmel Vinyl Jelly lip liner pencils on offer. They were only AU$3 for a pack of two, which seems like a very good deal! I haven't heard of them before so these may be discontinued items, that's why they're on sale. Still, I got them in browns/nudes, berry and pinks.

Chemist Warehouse was also having a sale on the new(in Australia) Maybelline Mega Plush mascara at half price. I got the waterproof version in Very Black and it was down to AU$9.99.

Super big brush head, and it bends too!

There are so many new beauty releases in Australia now, I can safely say that you will definitely be seeing alot more hauls. I've seen Revlon's Nearly Naked line out at my local Priceline so I'm hoping there's an introductory offer on them next week! Are there any new drugstore finds that you've discovered lately? (:

Lust have it: July 2013

I know in my previous Lust have it post that June was my last box, but why do i have a July box you might ask? Well, I honestly forgot about unsubscribing because I was back in Singapore on holiday. I only remember when LHI sent me my invoice for July, so this is definitely going to be my last post for LHI. Meanwhile, let's dig in and see what goodies they sent this time!

Here is this month's box:
1. Nude By Nature natural tinted mineral moisturizer (full size) - 30ml RRP $19.95
2. Knotties hair ties (full size) - 2 hair ties RRP US$6.25
3. Colorsmash hair shadow in Sangria (full size) - 0.11oz(3g) RRP US$15
4. Schwarzkopf extra care volume powder  (full size) - 10g RRP $8.99
5. Swisse hand cream (30ml) - 500ml RRP $29.95
6. Health Essentials znano active gold eye patches (2 patches) - 20 patches RRP $45
7. California Mango natural hand and body lotion (62.5ml) - 2oz(~60ml) RRP US$3.49
8. *BONUS* Health Essentials maqui berry active (6g) - 150g RRP $45

Total estimated value - approximately $64 (prices in AUD, unless otherwise stated)

Definitely glad to see a full size makeup item this month but I don't usually wear tinted moisturizers just because I need alot more coverage than those usually give. Still, I love trying out new foundations/primers or face products in general.

I'm really happy to receive the hair ties because I've heard about them on Youtube. Not crazy about the colours they came in but I will definitely be using them.

Love this shade of red. Reminds me of the first time I had highlights done, yeap they were red.

I can most certainly use some help with the dark circles so I hope the eye patches work! And come on, you got to love that there's gold in it.. haha!

Bonus item!

Overall, I can see myself using everything in this box and there are 4 full sized items which to me is great value. This is actually the best box I've had since re-subscribing. The only negative about this month is probably including two hand creams in the same box. Nonetheless, they will still come into use since it's winter in Australia now and I am almost done with my Body Shop one. Other than that, everything else seems interesting. I'd really like to see more beauty samples from Lust have it. Now I am kind of on the fence about unsubscribing because they are picking up the game and who knows, next month might be super awesome given that the past few months have been mostly letdowns. Arghh! I'll need to sleep on it. Let me know if you are subscribed to LHI or if you aren't any longer, why you decided to unsubscribe. Any advice would be really helpful.. cheers! (:

Bellabox: July 2013

Last month, I received an email from Bellabox saying I could choose the theme for my July box and I choose SHOPPING! It was only for the first 200 subscribers who replied but I have no idea if I was the first few. Anyway, here's a look at July's bellabox!

Here's what came in this month's box:

1. *BONUS* Luxe city guides (full size) - RRP $12.99
2. Yu-Be moisturizing skin cream (3g) - 70g RRP $34.95
3. La Fresh oil-free face cleanser (1 wipe) - 20 wipes RRP $16.50
4. Baby Foot (full size) - 70ml RRP $29.95
5. Cancer Council sport sunscreen with handy ezi clip (full size) - 50ml RRP $9.95
6. Biore make-up removing wipe (1 wipe) - 25 wipes RRP $8.99
7. *BONUS* Libra Hotties heat patch (1 patch) - 2/pack RRP $4.99
8. Model Co cheek and lip tint in Rosy Red (5ml) - 10ml RRP $24

Total estimated value - $50.62 (prices in AUD)

This will come in handy when I finally visit the Big Apple some day!

Cult product from Japan... interesting.

Wet wipes for the face, I suppose it is handy for when you travel.

I've heard others mention receiving the Baby Foot in a previous beauty box and apparently it works really well. As long as you can endure your feet peeling for days before the final result. Keen to try it but I honestly don't know what to expect with the peeling.

Most excited about to try this out!

Definitely stains well.

So this month's bellabox did not blow me away but I will still be staying subscribed. Glad that I still have at least a makeup item and something interesting like the Baby Foot to try out. Hoping next month will be better! What items did you get and how are you liking your bellabox this month? (:

Review: Sportsgirl Paint The Town Lip Paint

I'm on such a roll! 3 posts in 3 days.. yeah! Haha.. anyway today's post is a quick one so here goes. Sportsgirl is mostly known as a fashion brand but they do have their own line of makeup as well. I haven't really try alot of cosmetics from Sportsgirl except their pencil liner and nail polishes. In my last notd post, I bought found a lovely holographic polish in the sale section, together with these goodies that I will be reviewing today.

The Sportsgirl Paint The Town lip paint originally retails for AU$7.95 but I found them reduced to AU$4.95 so I thought why not give them a try since lip lacquers are all the rage now. There were four colours that they were clearing out, not sure are they being discontinued or just getting rid of old stock but I only picked up two shades as I wanted to form an opinion about them first.

Love Story(red) and Imagine That(dusty pink).

The lip paints come in a clear squeezy tube form with a silver cap, so you can easily see the colour you're getting. The product is dispensed through a slanted applicator which can be used directly on the lips. However, I'd advise using a lip brush with the brighter colours because this tip doesn't give a very precise application and the lip paints are very pigmented. I've read some reviews saying they are super sticky but to me, they are just slightly sticky and definitely bearable. They actually feel smooth when you rub your lips together, so I guess there isn't a very clear definition of 'sticky'.

Both lip swatches are applied straight from the tube, hence the not-so-precise application which is more obvious with the red shade. On my arm, you can see how it looks with and without spreading. If you wanted to, you can definitely tone down the shades. But I actually like wearing them at their full opacity because it is really 'what you see is what you get' with these lip paints.

Lasting power of these lip paints are average. They seem to wear for a pretty decent period before fading and they definitely need reapplying after a meal, which is normal for most lip products. So overall, I actually do like these. I think I might go back and grab the other two shades which was a coral and a berry shade! Hope they are still available.

*UPDATE 30/7/13* I have since went back and bought the other two shades available.
Left to right: Centre Stage(coral) and Picture Perfect(fuchsia).

I haven't tried the OCC lip tars or Rimmel lip lacquers to judge how they compare but for the price(discounted for now) I think they are a good lip product! What are your thoughts on the liquid lipstick trend and what are your favourites?! I'd love to hear from you all.. (:

NOTD: O.P.I You're Such A BudaPest

If you have read my Smoochiezz haul post, you will have seen this little guy before. It has been a while since I've purchase the O.P.I Euro Centrale mini set and I couldn't wait any longer to try them out!

You're Such A BudaPest stood out to me the most, so here it is on my nails. It is just the most gorgeous pastel lavender(or periwinkle purple as described on their website) and I love how it makes me look more feminine. I applied 2 coats to get it to full opacity.

I have been into accent nails lately so I added a layer of holographic polish on my both ring fingers.

The Sportsgirl Nail It! in Holographic is a new purchase hence I wanted to try it too. I was browsing through their sale items and came across this amazing polish and it was reduced to only AU$4.95(from AU$8.95)! I find that this polish is very unique because it has additional holographic strips together with the glitter in a clear base, unlike regular holographic polishes that comes in a opaque colour. Initially I didn't think the holographic effect seen in the bottle would transfer onto the nail but boy was I wrong! Even with just one coat, the glitters produced so much bling but I applied two coats just to get more of the holographic strips onto my nails.

How cute is that mini O.P.I bottle?!

So this is my quick NOTD post, hope you enjoyed it! If you have a favourite layering polish, do leave a comment and let me know. I'd love to hear your recommendations! Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day.. (:
