I came home today to a little white package, and was so glad it finally arrived. It's my Lust have it! box for April! Well, I will admit that I am quite disappointed at how late my box came but it's still always exciting to receive mail.
So anyway, I have just re-subscribed back to LHI because they have 'revamped' themselves since I last left them. I was a subscriber for 2 months last year(September and October) before cancelling my subscription since I wasn't really impressed with my boxes. However, the main reason i cancelled my subscription was because I was going back to Singapore over summer. I would have tried them out for at least 3 to 4 months before making the final decision about the quality and value of the boxes.
Recently(not really, is March recent?), LHI emailed me to 'welcome' me back by offering a discount code to have my first box at the old price (AU$14.95). I thought "why not?", since I haven't been with them long enough to make a good decision about what I think about their company/service. I opted to start in April, even though LHI said they could squeeze me into the second shipment for March. But I already saw what most people got and although it's amazing value, I didn't really see much use for the cellulite cream. Also because April was my birthday month, so I thought it'll be nice to get myself a present. (:
Getting onto my box...
This month's box came in light blue. |
The magnetic flap opens along the length, but you can also store/stand the box like this. (for decorative purposes i guess?) |
I've already seen and heard so many people's reviews and what they got, that I sort of had some kind of expectation of what mine would be. Turns out, it was completely different! Here's what came in my April box.
1. Molten Brown patchoulli & saffron body wash (30ml) - 300ml RRP $39
2. Pink Tiger duri cosmetics nail tools: nail file (RRP $1*) and lint-free gauze (200 pieces RRP $13*)

4. Goldwell dualsenses ultra volume shampoo (100ml) - 300ml RRP $20.95
5. Lust have it! exfoliating glove - $9.50
Estimated total value - $62.83 (prices in AUD)

My overall thoughts on April's box? Honestly, quite disappointed. Firstly, the lateness of the box arriving in my mail is ridiculous. I only received my email saying it was sent out on May 1st, so I'm not too happy there. And in terms of the value of the box, I really think I'm just unlucky to be getting the boxes I get with LHI. After seeing so many unboxing videos, I expected a Gosh eyeshadow or a Nude by Nature paw paw ointment. I'm trying to be positive about receiving the gauze since some have said it is fantastic to use when removing nail polish but my box also came with the exfoliating glove, which looks really cheap, it's really hard to not be upset. I really only considered my box coming with 3 products for April, which is obviously not good. Especially with the price increase, I expected alot more. I do hope my luck turns around with which box I get, if not I will definitely be unsubscribing real soon.
Oh, and something to quickly mention. I actually emailed LHI to unsubscribe while waiting for my April box to arrive and they replied saying that I would miss out on the old price and that if I resubscribe again, the new price of AU$19.95 will be applied. Initially I was confused as my previous reply from them specified that I would get my first box at AU$14.95 as a 'welcome back' bonus for resubscribing. So after several emails back and forth, LHI informed me that they were happy to keep me at AU$14.95 until September (i.e. regard me as an existing member) which made me stay on. Not sure if this information will be helpful to anyone but I just wanted to put it out there.
So that's my update/review for April's LHI box. Fingers crossed that I will get my May box in time to blog about it before the month is over. Till then, go be beautiful!
