Today's review also doubles as a NOTD post. My lovely friend got me the Ciate Corrupted Neon Manicure set for christmas and I thought it was the perfect look for New Year's. First of all, the packaging it comes in is an amazing holographic (if that's what is it) box. I usually throw box packagings out but this one i'll hold on to.
This series comes in 4 shades, Club Tropicana (orange), Shout Out (pink), Megaphone (yellow), Foam Party (blue). As you can tell, the one I am reviewing is the orange manicure set. The set comes with a full-sized paint pot nail polish and neon glitter in Cha Cha Cha and Club Tropicana respectively, as well as a mini Black Light Top Coat.
I apologize for the poor manicure swatches. They are 7 days old as of when the pictures were taken. I was amazed they lasted so long hence the decision to write this review. The nail polish was a dream to apply, 2 coats as per normal and the finish is beautiful. No streakiness whatsoever.
Applying the glitter wasn't as easy as the nail polish. In fact, it was a total pain. Not super pleased about the packaging the glitter came in because it spilled all over once you unscrew the cap. But the overall effect of the glitter over the polish does look great, just as long as you clean up afterwards.
Glitter galore! |
I have yet to take these nails out to see them glow but when I googled images they actually seem pretty legit. Although I'm not a fan of the application of the glitter, I must say that the nail polish is amazing quality. It lasted on my nails for a whole week, probably because of the glitter I suspect. But even without glitter on my toes, they are lasting beautifully. This is the first time I've tried Ciate nail polish and now I want to try more. Hope everyone is having a great Monday! (:
